The Glenkinchie Distillery, known as “The Edinburgh Malt,” beautifully expresses the classic Lowland style, famed for its light, fresh character. This special Distillers Edition undergoes a unique double maturation process. Initially aged in refill casks, the whisky is then transferred for a final maturation period in selected Amontillado sherry seasoned American oak casks. This secondary casking imparts a rich, nutty depth that layers perfectly with the distillery’s signature grassy, floral spirit, creating a Scotch of immense complexity and poise. For the best experience, we recommend enjoying this premium whisky neat to fully appreciate its intricate profile.
Nose: Gentle aromas of barley, crisp grape skin, and light vanilla give way to toasted almonds and honeyed oak.
Palate: Incredibly smooth and creamy, featuring sweet biscuit, light fruitcake, and a delicate touch of green fruit.
