Barrel: Aged in a ex-bourbon cask and finished for 6 months in a once used toasted american oak cask that previously held rum. Notes of spice, tropical fruit and citrus from the rum marry well with the american oak.

Its full of flavor but just a little raw tasting due to age. another 5 years and it would be superb. Has lovely fruity sweetness but that rawness is behind it. I like it though. I am afraid it committed sacrilege the other night after a long surf and added a bit of Black Bushmills to it. and that cooled it down, and was delicious... made it a bit less hot. But I am glad I tried it. Regards. Nick
