Steam and Fire is a celebration of the incredible alchemy and engineering capability of the Loch Lomond Distillery, and a product of the expertise and know-how of its master makers, distillers, and coopers. Loch Lomond Steam & Fire brings to life the distillery's diverse distilling process and bespoke, hand-charred casks from its own time-honored cooperage, resulting in a truly unique and imaginative whisky. This special expression is created using spirit from both the distillery's remarkable straight neck and traditional swan neck stills. The spirit is then matured in American oak barrels and finished in heavily charred casks, flamed by the distillery's in-house cooperage. The charring process adds a unique complexity, bringing out a melted brown sugar character with a rich, buttery mouthfeel and notes of orange and dark chocolate.
